Political Organizing Academy

The San Diego County Democratic Party offers opportunities throughout the year for currently enrolled or recently graduated students to participate in our Political Organizing Academy

Our academy provides hands-on political experience and a stimulating work environment with Democratic activists and Party leaders. These unpaid volunteer positions are an opportunity to connect to campaigns or government services that can lead to further opportunities as they have for a number of our former students.

Applicants should demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in standard office technology. They should be willing to commit at least five to ten hours per week, possibly including some weekend hours. Finally, they should possess a genuine interest in politics and support the Democratic Party's platform and candidates.

Organizers support various day-to-day activities of the Party, including administration, field organizing, research, finance, communications and social media.
