The Gloria Administration Tackles COVID Head-On

After being sworn in to office early last month, San Diego's new Democratic Mayor, Todd Gloria, has continued to enact new policies and executive orders to rechart the course of the city and reverse the tide of COVID-19 cases.
In addition to signing an executive order to strengthen enforcement of COVID-19 city health orders, Mayor Gloria called on the Biden administration to allow San Diego to directly receive COVID-19 vaccine doses that would be administered at city distribution sites.

Mayor Gloria also signed executive orders to limit parking enforcement and cap restaurant delivery fees, helping make it easier for San Diego residents to comply with California's stay-at-home order. Thanks in part to the work of Mayor Gloria and our supermajority-Democratic San Diego City Council, the city and the region have already begun to see a decline in new COVID-19 cases.
