A New Day, a New Look

At our annual Roosevelt Dinner last Saturday, we heard from incredible speakers, set a record for attendance, and raised twice as much as we ever have for a single event.

We also unveiled a new logo for the San Diego County Democratic Party.

A lot has changed since our old logo was adopted more than a dozen years ago. Since then, in both registration and voting, this county has tilted decidedly "blue." Our organization has also evolved -- from an all-volunteer operation to one with a professional staff and robust year-round and electoral programs.

The updated look is clean, modern, and open, with a nod to our region's treasured natural environment. Coupled with a new Executive Board and an expanding staff, it signals a new day in San Diego County politics. We are excited to share it with you today as the County Democratic Party enters the next phase of our progress.

The fresh image inspires us to look ahead to the next decade. What do we envision? A Democrat in the White House, of course. But also a Democratic majority on the County Board of Supervisors, more Democratic mayors throughout the county, an all-Democratic congressional delegation, and more equitable and progressive public policies at all levels.

This year's dinner is over, but our fundraising to prepare for the demands of 2020 is just getting started. We hope you will help by making a contribution now. Please go to and give whatever you can today, whether that's $10, $25, $50, or more. We are proud to rely on funds from individual members of our community -- and that means you.

Many thanks to everyone who made our event a success, including our guests, volunteers, interns, staff, and generous sponsors (listed here). With your support, we will continue building power for the people every day.
