Now Hiring: Campaign Services Coordinator

The San Diego County Democratic Party is hiring a full-time Campaign Services Coordinator to work out of the Party’s headquarters in Kearny Mesa. The employee in this ongoing, newly created position will support the Party's field operations and services for endorsed candidates. To be considered, please email your résumé to jobs@sddemocrats.org

Job duties include: 

Field Support: Provides support for the Party’s precinct-level voter outreach program, the GO Team. Recruits, trains, and coordinates volunteers for voter contact. Maintains volunteer data, creates and updates documents, and generates and distributes voter lists. Coordinates additional field activities, such as canvassing events, phone- and text-banks, and field operations of the Party’s coordinated campaign offices. 

Endorsement Process: Conducts candidate outreach to maximize participation of Democrats in the Party’s endorsement process. Compiles questionnaire responses and tracks the steps of the endorsement process for each candidate.

Campaign Assistance: Provides logistical, informational, strategic, and technical support to endorsed campaigns, including voter contact programs, volunteer coordination, communications, and data management.

Voter Registration: Coordinates the Party’s voter registration activities, including volunteer recruiting and training, event planning, and club and campaign outreach. Processes voter registration forms for participation in the CDP Bounty Program. 

VoteBuilder Support: Provides training and technical support for campaigns who subscribe to VoteBuilder through the Party to manage voter and volunteer data. Offers more comprehensive technical assistance to endorsed campaigns using the system. 

Job requirements: 

•   Previous experience in campaign field programs and volunteer coordination 
•   Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other standard software
•   Strong oral and written communication 
​•   High-level skills in VoteBuilder and/or PDI strongly preferred
​•   Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
•   Demonstrated ability to work independently and to maintain confidentiality
•   Ability to work on a flexible schedule that will include some evenings and weekends
