A "Week of Action" One Year from Election Day

Because the first week of November will mark the one-year countdown to the 2018 elections, the San Diego County Democratic Party is organizing a Week of Action to engage volunteers and voters throughout the county November 1-7. The Party has organized multiple events (sign up here), and you're encouraged to create your own! Email info@sddemocrats.org to add an event to our list

Our voter registration drive during the Week of Action will focus on local colleges and universities, which have large numbers of students who need to register (or reregister). For dates and locations, or to RSVP for a shift, go to www.sddemocrats.org/events or email jehoan@sddemocrats.org.

In addition to voter registration, the Week of Action includes two opportunities to be trained as a Neighborhood Leader through the Neighbors in Action program, with two more trainings scheduled later in the month.

In the training you'll be given everything you need to reach out to voters in your community to talk about issues, from scripts and role-playing to handouts you can leave even when people aren't home. After the session, you'll have the option to receive your voter list on paper or electronically (to access and enter information through a mobile device). A County Party staff member will be available for you to contact for additional training or support to help you in your outreach. To find and sign up for the event nearest you, go to www.sddemocrats.org/neighbors or email jay@sddemocrats.org
