Every two years California Democrats have the opportunity to run to be Assembly District delegates to the California Democratic Party's State Central Committee. Delegates (a.k.a. DSCC members) attend the annual State Party conventions for the two-year term -- to be held this spring on Zoom -- where they vote on bylaws, resolutions, endorsements, and more.
Due to COVID-19, this year the ADEMs (Assembly District Election Meetings) will be held entirely by mail. The deadline to run for Assembly District delegate, as well as for Executive Board representative, is Tuesday, December 15. Any California Democrat registered by that date can vote. Requests for mail ballots to vote in ADEMs must be received by January 11. To learn more, file to run, or request a ballot, go to https://adem.cadem.org/.
